01/02/2012 New appointments at Raidla Lejins & Norcous Riga office PRESS RELEASE 1 February, 2012 Raidla Lejins & Norcous Riga office announces a new partner appointment and change in the management of the office. As of February 1, Ingrida Karina-Berzina joins the firm as a partner heading the Intellectual Property & Information Technologies practice group. She is a dual qualified attorney (US and Latvia), a Latvian and European trademark and design attorney, and is qualified to practice before OHIM and the USPTO. Ms Karina-Berzina is a Board member of the Latvian Association of Patent Attorneys and is a longtime lecturer on IP and general business law at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and the Riga Graduate School of Law. She has an extensive experience representing a transatlantic client base in matters relating to intellectual property strategy, registrations, disputes, and commercialization. The appointment of I. Karina-Berzina reflects the firm's commitment to further strengthening its IP & IT practice as an area of strategic importance for businesses. 27/01/2012 Baltics M&A Monitor Raidla Lejins & Norcous jointly with mergermarket, an independent M&A intelligence service belonging to the Financial Times group, has carried out the Baltics M&A Monitor survey. This is the first survey of its kind in the Baltics, providing an in-depth overview of M&A deals completed in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in 2011, as well as M&A outlook for 2012.
